Welcome to the TiER1 environment – The migration is complete!

Your Microsoft365 account is now on the TiER1 tenant. This message was sent to your new TiER1 email as well as your personal email.

Here are your next steps:

§  To access your Microsoft 365 apps, go to: https://portal.microsoftonline.com.

§  Log in with the credentials you received from Joe.

If you don’t have your credentials, please reach out to Joe or Missy.

·       When you first log in, it will ask for your TiER1 email and password. It will then walk you through the process of setting up multifactor authentication for this account.   Click Next to start the process.

The first step is to download the Authentication app. Be sure that you are downloading the Microsoft Authentication app with the icon below:

Also, check to see if you have already downloaded that app. Some people are also using this for PSA authentication.

Once you have the app, follow the steps on the screen. Once authentication is setup, it will ask you to reset your password. The ‘old’ password is the temporary password you received from Joe.

·       You will access your M365 apps through this web portal until you sync your laptop to your new TiER1 credentials. You should have scheduled a one-on-one meeting with Mike Sandberg from IT to walk through this sync. If you don’t already have time scheduled, use the link below to find a time.

·       If you have any issues, contact the TiER1 Help Desk. Best practice is to send an email first. We have a ticketing system that will help track, prioritize, and assign issues, and we’ll get back to you to work the issues out as soon as possible. We are in an intensive support window for the week, meaning migration support tickets sent to TiER1’s IT team will be prioritized – you can expect fast help if it’s needed!

A few reminders:

·       Any Microsoft Teams meetings that were created from your Pro-Active emails before the migration will need new Teams links. The existing links are no longer valid on the new tenant. Best practice is to delete the existing meeting and recreate that meeting. This migration does not affect any Zoom meetings. Those meetings will transfer over and the meeting links will still be correct.

·       OneNote notebooks may need re-opened/sync’d in the Desktop version, but they’re still there. The file location has moved, so you need to re-open it the first time for the system to remember it.

To re-add to the Desktop OneNote, go to the web version of OneNote and find the notebook. In the upper right, click the Editing box, then choose Open in Desktop.

·       Any links that you had to third-party programs may need to be updated. For example, if you had a link at the top of a Team that went to a Smartsheet, you will have to re-add that link.

We appreciate your patience and partnership throughout this process! We’re excited to have everyone on the same platform!
